Specialized, Small Footprint Devices on ARM, x86, and MIPS For more than 10 years, Adeneo Embedded has developed Windows Embedded BSPs in collaboration with partners like Atmel, Freescale, Intel, NXP, STMicroelectronics and Texas Instruments. As a result of these strong relationships we released Windows Embedded Compact 7 BSPs for their main embedded platforms and architectures (see our roadmap below). As a result, we also provide maintenance, support and system integration services to help OEMs speed Windows Embedded Compact 7-based designs to market including migration from a Windows Embedded CE 6.0 to a Windows Embedded Compact 7 design. |

As a Microsoft Windows Embedded Gold partner, Adeneo Embedded provide top level support to OEMs developing Windows Embedded based devices, and are often involved in helping our customers with the performance optimization of their devices. |
The information provided in this page is intended in helping OEMs and ISVs improving performances of their Windows Embedded Compact 7 application, by leveraging ARMv7 compiler with Visual Studio 2008. The latest release of the Windows CE Operating System, Windows Embedded Compact 7, brings significant improvements for performance optimization targeting high-end ARM architecture, such as ARMv7 compiler, NEON or Multicore support. ARMv7 compiler is natively leveraged for OS image building with Platform Builder. However, when it comes to Application building with Visual Studio, this feature is not available natively.

In the white paper available below, Valter Minute, a Microsoft Windows Embedded MVP providing expertise, consulting and training to Adeneo Embedded customers, propose an easy-to implement process for leveraging ARMv7 compiler for building Windows Embedded Compact 7 application and increase significantly performances of devices. We’ve also developed some tools that can be used to automate and simplify the process. These tools are available as free download in the tab below "ARMv7 compiler |

It is important to understand that performance optimizations and improvements of an embedded device or application is a "global" process that requires expertise both on BSP/Drivers and Applications development. The technical solution described in the documents below covers only one aspect of performance improvements. Adeneo Embedded, through many years of development with Windows Embedded technologies developed a unique expertise in optimizing devices and applications performances.
