New version of the Windows Embedded Compact 7 BSP for the Freescale i.MX53 Quick Start board   

We added new features to the Windows Embedded Compact 7 reference board support package for the i.MX53 QSb to ensure the best user experience.

One of major improvements is related to the issue to flash the BSP to the board. Now, you will find in the package a user guide that will provide you with a step-by-step flashing tutorial. By the way, this new version also includes a command line based tool (cfimager.exe) allowing to flash the bootloader and the nk runtime image on the microSD.

Regarding new features, the binary image now includes a software development kit (SDK) allowing application development for this platform.

Here is the list of new features supported in this new version:

• Full compatibility with COMMON_FSL_V3/MX53_FSL_V3 (V2 is no more supported)
• Full support of VGA display (1280*1024)
• Full support of HDMI / DVI display (1920*1080 FULL HD)
• Full support of both Touch Screen 4.3’ & 7’ (800*480)
• Full support of USB devices trough USB and USB OTG ports without external HUB
• Full support of PMIC DA9052
• Full support of DVFC
• Full support of Power Button as suspend / resume command
• Support of USB OTG as Mass Storage
