Adeneo Released Windows Embedded CE 6.0 R3 Board Support package (BSP) for Freescale i.MX23 Evaluation Kit   

Nuremberg, Germany, March 1st, 2010 – Adeneo Embedded, a Microsoft Windows Embedded Gold Partner awarded “Windows Embedded Training Partner of the Year” and “Windows Embedded Systems Integrator of the Year” for both 2008 and 2009 in North America and Europe, announced today at Embedded World tradeshow in Nuremberg the full commercial release of the Windows Embedded CE 6.0 R3 BSP for Freescale’s i.MX23 Evaluation kit (EVK) which includes on ARM9™ core technology.

Visitors to the Embedded World tradeshow in Nuremberg will have the opportunity to see demonstration of Windows Embedded CE 6.0 R3 running on i.MX23EVK, either on Freescale booth, or at Adeneo Embedded pod on Microsoft booth (Hall 11, Booth 318).

The i.MX23 Evaluation Kit (EVK) is price-effective without compromising performance and allowscustomers to ultimately define and demonstrate the personality of their next great product. Key features of the i.MX23 EVK include:

• Multiple connectivity options - display touch screen, USB, SDIO and others

• Usage of the integrated analog audio through the mic input, headphone, output jack, line-in jack and speaker connector

• Reference power management system that maximizes the use of the on-chip power management

• Proven design examples and software drivers

• Simplifies product design and enables rapid prototyping

This release is the result of the close collaboration between Adeneo Embedded and Freescale to provide strong and reliable solutions for Windows Embedded CE on Freescale i.MX23 architecture.

PQOAL compliance for the easiest adaptation to custom designs – Because of its compliance with Microsoft PQOAL (Production-Quality OEM Adaptation Layer) and PQD (Production Quality Device) specifications, Adeneo Embedded BSPs are a cost-effective way to develop custom solutions on Freescale i.MX product line under Windows Embedded CE 6.0 R3 with minimal redesign.
